Description:
"Scene space" is magic space,
ritual space -- but spirituality and BDSM have often been uneasy in each other's
company. This class is an opportunity to explore how the qualities and skills
you bring to spiritual practice and BDSM can enrich each other. Learn how
presence, intention, energy awareness, invocation, and sacralization can be
brought into your scenes. Explore ways to make a deeper connection with your
partner(s), and how drawing on archetype, myth, and magic can open up new
possibilities for ecstasy, transformation, healing, and self-knowledge -- with
no loss of intensity.
This class is a lecture and discussion; no hands-on play. People of all faiths are welcome.
About the Educator
Janet Munin, MA, has explored the interplay of sex and spirit for more than ten years. She is ordained as a priestess of the underworld goddess Ereshkigal and has a Masters Degree in Comparative Religion (writing her thesis on sacred prostitution).
