PRIDE 2010

Join the Center and Foundation for Sex Positive Culture in celebrating PRIDE!

The Center and Foundation will have a booth again at Pride Fest, on top of the Fischer Pavillion at the Seattle Center. Come visit us and show your support!

We're also going to have a float in the Pride Parade, which starts at 11:00 AM and runs for about 2 1/2 hours. Cheer for us as we go by!

The Parade

This Seattle Pride Parade will take place on Sunday, June 27th, starting at 11:00 am, from the corner of Union St. and 4th Ave. It will last approximately 2 1/2 hours and should take about an hour to go from the start to the end.

The Parade will proceed down 4th Avenue to Denny Way. Foot traffic will go west on Denny Way and all vehicle traffic will be turned west, have until Cedar St. to pull over, quickly disembark passengers, secure their vehicles, and leave the area. Personnel stationed at this intersection and along Denny Way will help assure the safe and orderly flow of the Parade participants out of the area. Pedestrian crossing at Denny Way is restricted to the west side of 4th Ave only.

The Parade announcer's booth and media viewing area will be located at Westlake Park between Pike and Pine on 4th. We ask that all those attending the Parade watch from the sidewalk, since we need to keep the street open.

ADA viewing areas are available at Westlake Plaza and on the east side of 4th Ave at Bell St. No parking will be permitted in any area along the route and all vehicles must be registered, display an event Pass and have a driver in the vehicle at all times. Unattended vehicles will be towed at the owner's expense.

At five points along the route Metro Busses will periodically need to cross the Parade. SPD and Seattle Out and Proud personnel will be on hand at these points to assist.

At Pride Fest... Tens of thousands of revelers pack the Seattle Center to dance, drink, eat, shop, and party. Every year the event gets bigger (both in attendees, caliber of performers, and size of event footprint), and every year this event gets better. Please join us in 2010 as we take up more of the Seattle Center grounds with more vendors, bigger stages, and better entertainment than ever before!
